PODCAST: Season 7, Episode 9
Sit back and settle in because this week I’m doing something a bit different. No frameworks, no audits — just a proper honest, raw, behind-the-scenes look at what’s actually been going on in my world. If you’ve ever felt paralysed opening up your Stories, lost your creative spark, or wondered why 80% good news still makes your brain fixate on the 20% that isn’t — this one’s for you. Spoiler: having predictable income changes everything about how you handle these moments.
What’s Been Going On 🎉
- I’m starting an NLP course in February — so excited to integrate this with my client work
- 80% of my consultancy clients renewed (and I’m genuinely thrilled about that)
- I’ve created a brand new free workshop on predictable income — mapping out your next six months. Link in the show notes!
- Planning my first semi-mastermind day for all my one-to-one clients
- Been doing a 12-week breathwork transformational programme focused on expansion
- February is shaping up to be a big month — going away AND starting NLP training
Key Topics Covered
In this raw and honest episode, I share:
- Why I couldn’t post for a week — and why a year ago that would have sent me into a full spiral
- The power of predictable income — how knowing your next six months of revenue changes your entire nervous system in business
- 80% renewed, 20% didn’t — and why our brains always fixate on the negative (plus how I reframed it)
- Changing ads that were working — the gut-pull to switch things up, the anxiety of turning off what’s performing, and why I trusted it anyway
- Getting personal with content — why I’m leaning into personality-driven posts and oversharing rather than pure strategy content right now
- The emotional side of life and business colliding — last ever parents’ evening after 14 years hit me harder than expected
On Predictable Income & Not Spiralling
A year ago, a week of not posting would have sent me into a proper downward spiral. No visibility = no clients = no money = panic. But this year? I know what revenue I’ve got locked in for the next six months. I know what February looks like. I literally can’t take anyone on until March anyway. That security — that predictable income — meant I could sit in the discomfort without collapsing into hustle mode. This is exactly why I bang on about building stability into your business model.
On Changing My Ads (When They Were Already Working)
I had ads running to my Bottleneck to Breakthrough private podcast since December. They were performing well — leads coming in under £2.20. But I had this gut pull to change the messaging to align with where my business is heading. So I turned off what was working and launched a brand new workshop ad. Day two? Already feeling like the right call. Sometimes you have to trust your inner guidance even when the numbers say “leave it alone.”
On Things That Can Coexist
I shared a post this week that made me laugh — all about contradictions that can happily sit side by side:
- I think Facebook is shit as a consumer… but I run Meta ads religiously
- I hate Stripe notification screenshots as content… but I’ll happily brag about my income in my mastermind
- I roll my eyes at bro marketing… yet I’ve spent thousands on coaches charging the same prices
- I can coach my clients out of a spiral really quickly… but I can get myself into one just as fast
- I teach sustainable strategy and predictable income… but I’ve made up an offer on a dog walk and sold it there and then
Things don’t always have to make sense. It’s not always black and white. And that kind of content — the personal, the honest, the oversharing — is what’s landing right now.
